GM Announces U.S. Pricing Details for 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe & Convertible

GM announced on Friday that the C7 Stingray coupe will be priced at $51,995, but the convertible models will have an MSRP of $56,995.

The Detroit automaker said that this MSRP will include $995 destination charge, but excludes tax, license and title.

The base 2014 Corvette comes with some standard features that are packed into one exclusive package, including a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that can spew up to 450 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. This V8 engine is powered by a seven-speed manual transmission featuring Active Rev Matching.

The base model is available exclusively with carbon fiber hood, but the coupe version will also feature a carbon fiber removable roof panel. According to GM, the seventh-gen Corvette Stingray has an aluminum frame structure that is essentially 57 percent stiffer and 99 pounds (45 kg) lighter than the previous generation.

Meanwhile, the interior is equipped with some standard features that include a Bose 9-speaker audio system, SiriusXM Satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity and USB/SD card/auxiliary input jack. In addition, buyers can also see the next-gen Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and rear vision camera.

Other standard features that can be found in the 2014 model year are as follows:
  • 5-Position Drive Mode Selector
  • 8-Way Power Adjustment
  • 8-inch Dual configurable Driver (infotainment screens)
  • Advanced HID Headlights & LED Lighting
  • Keyless Access & Push-Button Start
  • Power Tilt (Telescope Steering Wheel)
  • New Fully Electronic Top & Key Fob (convertible)
Furthermore, Chevrolet also offers optional packages and some extra equipment for the coupe model, which has also been showcased at the Detroit Motor Show earlier this year. With a variety of additional equipment list below and also an optional package, the price for Stingray coupe would increase to $73,360.
Here’s a list of optional equipment and packages that can be ordered by each buyer:
  • 3LT Interior Package with Leather-Wrapped Interior: $8,005
  • Z51 Performance Package: $2,800
  • Competition Sports Seats: $2,495
  • Exposed-Carbon Fiber Roof Panel: $1,995
  • Magnetic Ride Control with Performance Traction Management: $1,795
  • Dual-Mode Exhaust System: $1,195
  • Carbon Fiber Interior Trim: $995
  • Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim: $995
  • Red-Painted Calipers: $595
  • Black-Painted wheels: $495
The 3LT interior package will add some extra features to this sports coupe, including premium Napa leather seating surfaces, heated & ventilated seats with power lumbar & bolster adjustment, leather-wrapped dash and instrument panel. In addition, GM also added a Bose 10-speaker surround-sound audio system and much more.
As for the Z51 Performance Package, the 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe will benefit from some additional performance features, such as 19-inch ‘front’ & 20-inch ‘rear’ wheels, high-performance gear ratios, electronic limited-slip differential, transmission-cooling system and much more. The C7 Stingray coupe with Z51 performance package can sprint from 0-60 mph in less than 4 seconds.
